Thank you, for selecting me as your officiant. Here are some resources to keep us on track.

Government Resources

Personally it doesn’t matter to me if you have a marriage license at the wedding. A license or ceremony doesn’t change your love or commitment. However, without the license it is just a mock ceremony, a personal pledge, but it is not legally binding. It will satisfy the guests and the photographers but not the government. So if you fail to have it available the day of the ceremony, we can go proceed and call it a day. Alternatively we can have a quick ceremony on a different day, pre or post the crowd pleaser day.

Ideally you’ll want to aim to pick up your license 2-3 weeks before your wedding day, so that it isn’t a last minute task. You can book your appointment to pick up your license from ANY municipal office anywhere in the province. The license is valid for  90 days. Book the appointment about two months prior to when you want to pick it up, so that you have your choice in appointments.
