Metaphysics may sound like a mouthful for those that are unfamiliar with the term. It is just a branch of philosophy that studies the ultimate nature of existence, reality, and experience without being bound to any one theological doctrine or dogma. Metaphysics acknowledges and respects the beauty in ALL of God’s Creation, while both including and transcending all religions.
We all have a some interest in metaphysics, we just might not know what to call it. Metaphysics, an ancient Greek word, has become a description of many fields of interest and/or an interdisciplinary approach. An interest in metaphysics may be in any one or a combination of the following subjects:
Philosophy, Religion, Yoga, ESP, Dreams, Psychology, Astrology, Meditation, Self-Help Studies, Positive Thinking, Life After Death, Transcendentalism, Intuitiveness, Mysticism, Reincarnation and/or Ontology (A branch of study concerned with the nature and relations of being, or things which exist.).
The common denominator is an exploration and search for; truth, purpose, and meaning in life as well as how attained knowledge and insight may benefit human life, both individually and collectively. The simplest way of thinking about metaphysics is an interest in items or ideas beyond the tangible without any rules or commandments to go along with it.
